Typical Star Legion Battle Rider
The design philosophy here was simple, pack the largest spinal mounted meson gun possible into the smallest hull possible. The result is a bit unbalanced. The desired effect is a huge ship killing gun but at a cost. There is no armor, few defenses and minor secondary weaponry. It is on a tight energy budget despite its huge fusion power plants. It has limited speed and no agility. Its' mother-ship is actually faster and more agile than it is. There has been fleet discussion within the tactical studies groups to use a smaller main weapon weapon and beef up the other attributes of this design.

Star Legion Wolf Pack Commerce Raider
This ship is the size of an imperial light cruiser. It is fast and streamlined with good jump4 range. Wolf pack mobility is a key feature. These ships operate in large groups and fade away rather than stand on a line of battle. They carry a small meson spinal mount, ten sand caster batteries, ten missiles batteries, and a single laser, fusion, and particle accelerator.

This heavy cruiser design is used to dominate trade lanes. It can interdiction a planet, destroy convoys, and conduct commando missions behind enemy lines. It is fast and agile, and pretty heavily armed. It carries a company of legion marines with heavy missile batteries for orbital bombardment.

Battle Cruiser
This design has the best meson gun, in the fastest, long range hull. It has just enough armor to blunt the worst critical hits. It has heavy missiles batteries to conserve energy for some agility. Strong offense and weak defense is the classic dilemma of the battle cruisers.
