Kasaan is an important, rich agricultural garden world with one small moon located in Vega Subsector of the Solomani Rim; the system is a member of the Imperium. Kasaan is one of the breadbaskets of the subsector, notable for a native lifeform, the great crested Jabberwock, a cunning, highly-territorial 400 kilogram quadruped carnivore that delights in stalking and killing prey.
