The Psionicist Detector is a hand held device capable of detecting the unique signatures generated by psionics use. They are not directional, providing only a simple alarm that some kinds of powers are being used in close proximity. Because they are so simple, they are capable of being fooled with ease, either by some kinds of electronic equipment (an active Jump Drive is a particular source of interference). These devices are an early version of the Neural Activity Sensor.
