Ksoegusnoeks (world)
On the trailing border of the Ruler of Five and facing the Third Empire of Gashikan in Nikhigireki Subsector is Ksoegusnoeks / Nikhigireki (Gzaefueg 2638) C300978-C Hi In Na Va / Co Ht C: 2739 {3} (C88+2) [7C7F] Corsair 903 5W VRo5 G0V – M4 D. The mainworld sits on the outer edge of the Habitable Zone making it a Cold and stark world devoid of atmosphere and water to boot. Typical of Urzaeng choices for High-Population and Industrial worlds, this Vacuum planet has the highest Tech Level rating in the subsector. Nine billion Urzaeng Vargr reside in the domed and covered impact crater cities between high, sharp and steep mountain ranges. Large gravity generators located central to each Dome, beneath the arcology and at the bottom of the craters compensate for the local 0.25 gravity.
Ksoegusnoeks has nestled its Downport named Ksoegusnoeks Canyon Downs in one of the lowest altitude valleys on the mainworld surface. The orbital Skysat Highport high above the planet revolves opposite to the spin of the world. Magrail trains and underground grav tubes provide the generally available Infrastructure to move Urzaeng and Ovaghoun Vargr as well as some visiting Humaniti between the Starport, city Domes, the only arcology and the many stepped impact craters which serve as hydroponics communities.
The stellar primary, a healthy but very bright G0 main sequence star holds to a Close, M4 D Red Dwarf. The luminosity of the primary star requires the Domes to cycle through various levels of opacification to filter the intense sunlight. Without such, protective goggles are often worn by citizens. The light from these two stars paints the mountain ranges with a vibrant orange tint which thickens at dawn and at dusk, paling at midday.
Though the majority citizenry is content to continue work on Industrial Ksoegusnoeks, three Factions have Balkanized the Government and each tries to push their agenda. The first Faction is a notable group of administrative Alpha Vargr who grip tightly upon the low-tech Ksoegusnoeks Colony world Roulnoul (Gzaefueg 2739). It is this Agricultural Colony that somehow manages to feed the Packs of its Controlling world. The second Faction is also a notable and social group of Urzaeng that pushes for peaceful talks and attempts to understand Humaniti and enlighten the locals on Vilani and Julian Protectorate Humans. This Faction is likely to receive Human visitors at the Downport and at the orbital Highport. A third and obscure organization seeks to receive potential psionic Vargr, awakened individuals seeking answers and full Psions desiring their next Stage in psionic training. It is this Faction that takes in these seekers, interviews and vets them for placement, at cost, on either Lodaeegzzuen (Gzaefueg 2536) and its more prestigious Lodaeegzzuen Collegia of Psionics or the more commonly attended Roulnoul Society of Psions on the Colony world of Roulnoul. Often, this Faction tries to milk Psions who qualify for both Psionic Institutes in placement fees to each learning center.
Due to the Size 3 mainworld, those Vargr living under the Domes, the arcology, in the hydroponics steppe craters and in warrens and natural grotto communities must abide by a maximum number of cubs per family. Ksoegusnoeks is actively curtailing population growth, resisting a Population A rating. Ofttimes, those families who fail to abide by this law are sent to live and work on the low-tech Colony world of Roulnoul. The outflow of Urzaeng to Roulnoul keeps stabilized the Technology Level of 3 from backsliding further. Naturally, there have been protests and some riots against what is seen as banishment for baseless reasons. Recent violence in the past century has increased the Law Level on Ksoegusnoeks to 8 where long blades such as swords are controlled and permits for concealed weapons require both registration and annual fees. Taxation on ammunition for concealable weapons has been raised four times through the past three decades.
Another cultural quirk of Ksoegusnoeks is unanimous favorable attraction to their manufactured goods with aesthetically pleasing, artistic aspects. Art and culture are highly prized on the mainworld since all else is stark mountains and vacuum plain outside domes. Inside the environments, architecture seeks to draw the eye and fashions are an annual r0ll-out in apparel. Aesthetic design has become important on all products at the turn of year 1100.
Balkanized Ksoegusnoeks is in strained, contractual negotiations with nearby Tsaeousorrg (Gzaefueg 2940) for various refined, industrial chemicals and fuels to funnel to the local BigWorld in Orbit 2. It is hoped that the Bronze Age Vargr there will soon rise to Tech Level 2 and 3 so as to properly keep from a Failing status, (currently at a deficiency of -2). That Tsaeousorrg has opened its doors to Julian Protectorate Irilitok has business owners of Ksoegusnoeks scratching their heads.

Hidden in the foggy and hot jungles of Planet Turrkekfang, a BigWorld in Orbit 2 is the local Corsair Base. The stealthy, Urzaeng pirates must repeatedly carve their way along the jungle floor with either wheeled or tracked vehicles to arrive at the Poor Spaceport strips kept clear by the Tech-1 Vargr tribes. Bronze Age Vargr welcome the metal skyships to land and are wisely silent about the presence of the Corsairs. They were discovered by the initial mainworld colony as an earlier attempt to colonize the system by landing at the steamy sauna BigWorld early in the Second Diaspora. To the original Vargr on this planet, the system was named Turrkekfang, but soon learned of the name change when they were rediscovered. Back then, the Atmosphere was a Dense 8. Later volcanic activity and earthquakes on this planet destroyed larger Spaceports. Structures there must now be collapsible and mobile, often carted by large wagon teams to another world hex and a new field is cut from the jungles by locals. The one million strong Packs of primitive Vargr here distribute Filters brought to them from the mainworld to cope with thick smoke, pyroclast stones and other ejecta gases spewed into the skies from the many volcanoes. In trade, Turrkekfang exports meats from various fauna and is supplemented with crops such as fruits, vegetables, spices, tobacco, coffee, tea, and pharmacological plants. Upon the first yields from Planet Turrkekfang, Ksoegusnoeks quickly labeled the world Agricultural (Ag). An interplanetary trade has reintroduced the throwback Turrkekfang to the mainworld. And the local Corsairs are watching economic growth develop.
