A small squadron of nine 10 dton Fringian Armored Fighters were license built here under contract. The immaculately maintained fighters of the Kuyt Berserker squadron are primarily charged with protecting the star port facilities and ship yards. Three flights of three take eight hour shifts to maintain a continuous combat patrol. Their maneuver drives and power plants have been modified with a solar powered, low impulse ion drive mode for sustained low speed cruising, as a fuel and cost saving measure. The use highly elliptical gravity assisted sling shot orbits to maintain a stealthy, low signature posture which allows ambush missile engagements. These pilots are characterized by their icy patient demeanor.
