A Lightball is a small, 7cm sphere used to provide light in numerous circumstances. The sphere is transparent but frosted. Inside the sealed sphere is an efficient light source, a rechargeable battery, a watt or so of Photovoltaic cells recharging equipment and a standard radio control programmer. The battery provides enough power to provide light for 24 hours. The solar cell can recharge the batter in about the same time. Using a standard computer interface, the lightball can be programmed to turn on or off at specific times, or under specific lighting conditions (e.g. on at dark, off at dawn). While most lightballs emit a white light, the lightball also comes in specific colors, or able to shift colors, replicating any color on command.
