They are very slow, and have limited ability to redeploy. They favor static positions in an over-watch role. Three of these units are assigned to each sanctuary. They have a smaller fusion reactor than the other Esaran vehicles. This allows them to stay on station for far longer. The turret has a volume of 32m3 in a radically sloped spire, reminiscent of their architecture. It provides an excellent vantage point to observe, but often precludes hiding. These vehicles require extensive electronics maintenance.
Esaran Sentinel Unit (TECH LEVEL B)[edit]
- This is a self propelled artillery grav vehicle deployed in the Esaran Cultural Area for fire support missions. The vehicle has a crew of three (driver, gunner, and a commander) and it mounts a 16cm hyper velocity, electric action, four barreled auto-cannon in a fully stabilized turret on the chassis desk.
- Vehicle Dimensions: height: 2.5 m (+10 m sentinel turret) :width: 5 m length: 6 m.
- Total usable volume: 92 m3
- Total mass loaded: 351 metric tons
- Production Cost: Cr. 4,781,911.5
- Movement: Maximum, 166kph/139cm; Cruise, 125kph/104 cm; NOE, 42kph/34cm.
- Movement effect on fire: None
- Armor: Chassis front, and turret all faces 50; chassis sides and deck 42, chassis belly and rear 34.

- Equipment: Tech B avionics; 5,000 power radio; map box; battle computer; TL 7 fire direction center which can direct two fire missions to different targets; TL B indirect fire control; TL B point defense fire control; 100 bottles of prismatic aerosol; 1,000 km maser communicator; thermal; image enhancement; 30 power counter battery RADAR; RADAR direction finder +8 DM; radio direction finder +7 DM; full weapon stabilization; extended life support for 3 for CBR/NBC threats, NOT sealed.
- Power: 40 megawatt fusion power plant consumes 60 liters of fuel/ hour; fuel capacity 4,120.55 liters, enough for 2.86 days. Grav generators produce 1.1396011 G's.
- Weapons: The 16cm hyper velocity, electric action, four barreled auto-cannon in a fully stabilized turret on the chassis desk is equipped with point defense fire control. It can engage 2 targets, and has a +5 signature when it fires. It rolls 8 dice versus indirect fire. It has a ROF 40 and there is storage for 400 rounds which is enough for 20 fire phases (10 w/RAP). A full load of HE/smoke is included in the price. Its direct fire characteristics are:

- There is a 55.72 kg capacity TAC missile launch rail on the side of the turret. The missiles use a 12cm HEAP 45 warheads and have a 56km range or a 46km range with a +10 DM high speed bonus. A homing missile is included in the price. The missiles available are:
