History & Background / Dossier
The entire healthy adult population works mining out the various minerals and Sac-quai, an underground edible root that forms the mainstay of the Luken diet.
- The adults work two weeks at the mine followed by a week of rest (of Festival as the locals refer to it).
- The cities are occupied only by the elderly, the infirm, pregnant and nursing mothers, and youths under 16.
- This last factor has make Luken the juvenile crime capital of the quadrant and adults have been warned to avoid traveling at night beyond the Festival areas as bands of youth prey on lone Op-di's, as adults are known.

Luken, as a member world of the Third Imperium has a member of the Imperial Landed Nobility who acts as an Imperial representative to the world.
World Starport
Luken has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
