Serving with the mighty Gisadia Ziru Sirka, this design was slightly obsolete at the beginning of the conflict with the Terrans. Not wanting to waste such a reliable and well tested design, they were moved to the frontiers for lower priority garrison units. The armor was proof against most man portable weapons of the time and smaller artillery rounds. Heavy weapons were required to stop them. They were so large and had such a carrying capacity they were endlessly modified into more specialized variants. Hover craft of this type were so common that, an 8 displacement ton GEV is imperial standard to this day. Two of these beasts were equivalent a large Terran 62 man platoon and six made a nice sized infantry company with the troop strength (186) to take and hold territory. They were gradually phased out in favor of more advanced TL–11 designs.
