The Cihuacoatl is the second most powerful leadership position in the Amec Trade Protectorate.
Description / Specifications
A Cihuacoatl is the Tlatoani's prime adviser and, in his role as arch-bishop, considered supreme judge. On the Tlatoani's death he acts as Emperor until the new Tlatoani is elected by the Tlatocan.
A Cihuacoatl is an elected vice-emperor, an ordained arch-bishop of the faith. The post's prime responsibilities are overseeing diplomatic relations with the Imperium and maintaining alliances with neighboring worlds.
History and background
The current Cihuacoatl, Iquehuac, Huahuantli, is an elderly man unbowed by age, with an immense curiosity which has given him an almost encyclopaedic knowledge on a wide variety of subjects. He speaks seven languages and can read and write a further fve. He is a strong supporter of the current Tlatoani and is believed to be his closest friend
