Astrography and planetology
The world of D'Artur itself is a huge, high gravity world with a dense, elliptical atmosphere. The atmosphere produces a dense, almost impenetrable cloud cover blocking the view of the surface.
History and background
The surface is off limits to all but cleared naval personnel. In the recent past the navy have shot down non-military ships attempting to land. The reason for the localized Red Zone classification and the Navy's aggressive pursuit of secrecy has remained a mystery. The Imperial Navy have refused point blank to comment on why the world is off-limits.
The naval base is situated on Morte, the satellite of D'Artur. The satellite is the site of the only permanent surface habitation in the system. The remaining population lives in structures floating high in the dense atmosphere and above the clouds,
Imperial High (Landed) Nobility
D'Artur, as a member world of the Third Imperium has a member of the Imperial Landed Nobility who acts as an Imperial representative to the world.
- It holds the estate of an Imperial knight.
- D'Artur is the unofficial duchy capital of Remnants. The current duke Stefan de Bere-Owstrowski, like nearly every previous duke for the last five hundred years, is a high ranking serving officer with the Imperial Navy.
