Hoplite (Creature) History & Background
The world of origin of these beasts is not known with certainty, since many early Vilani colonizations and subsequent settlement efforts have resulted in worlds with mixed ecosystems. Because of the carapace and the horns, the hoplite is believed to have originated on a world with many large predators. This and other factors have limited the number of possible origin worlds to less than a dozen, mostly in the Vland sector.
