Edsham is a nonindustrial world, that requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society.

  • In a technological universe, societies without industrial capability generally suffer as nearly all manufactured and high tech goods must be brought in at significant cost.
  • As a nonindustrial world, it requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. The need to import most manufactured and high technology goods drives the price of these goods up in the open market.
  • It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Khandi Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector in the Domain of Vland.
  • This world has an Imperial Scout base, capable of handling IISS starships and personnel.

Description

The mainstay of this system is a large IISS base. Native Edshamites have a relaxed view toward the use of alcohol and recreational drugs. This world is one of several cited as the home of the notorious "Scouts Brew". The complete lack of regulation means there are areas of the city near the Scout base that are off-limits to serving personnel. There are reports of civilian off-worlders, visiting these areas, mistaken for Scouts by the base's shore patrols and roughly incarcerated. Travellers are advised to keep their identification ready to hand.

History & Background
