Adapam is a pre-agricultural and nonindustrial world lacking adequate development for its economy to become prosperous.
- As a nonindustrial world, it requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. The need to import most manufactured and high technology goods drives the price of these goods up in the open market.
- It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Star Lane Subsector of Deneb Sector in the Domain of Deneb.

History & Background (Dossier)
Adapam is an Imperial world located on a branch of the Spinward Main in Star Lane Subsector of Deneb Sector.
Non-canon: Adapam labels itself "Trail's End", a title it shares with Benoncra (Foreven 3131), in reference to the termination of the great Spinward Main. This self-promotion is no more substantial than the paper it is written on, as most antebellum traffic usually exits the Main at Mater Nova to Sabine rather than continuing through Star Lane. The atmosphere is dangerous to breath even for short periods, and the hellish nature of the world deters visits from most traders. The local economy is dependent upon farming of the world's local microbes, which are bred or genetically engineered to produce a number of pharmaceuticals and industrial chemicals from the local ecology.
