History & Background (Dossier)
Cotinga was a world dying from a lack of industry and failing infrastructure. The Corellian League placed the world under its "protection" in 1140, promising money towards uplifting the world. But so far only a small amount of the promised investment has materialized, infrastructure keeps crumbling, and people keep emigrating to neighboring worlds. And the level of grumbling among the remaining population has begun to fester into open resentment of the Corellian occupation forces.
World Starport
Cotinga has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which features amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
