Flight Logs of the Ishii (162-1102) Captain's Supplemental Notes[edit]
We put down at the starport. Spacious but quiet, half-built or half-disassembled service structures dotting the open landing field. The "fog" warning lights were on, so we broke out the Type 5 masks. Fharnas has an exotic chemical gradient in the lower atmosphere, which is home to the native sophonts, the Kur'Appa. The higher elevations are mostly a standard gas mix. The port, such as it is, sits at the mixing interface between the two zones and is visitable by both the Kup'Appa and the smaller Human population in the uplands. The Kur'Appa are amphibious, and make extensive use of both the lowlands and the immense oceans.
