These arachnids are bright red and green. Duct spiders are classified as pests, and it is recommended that they be eliminated at any port of call. This pest can be found in environmental systems — they seem to like eating through filters and mesh. They have an attraction to petroleum products, although they avoid insulation, particularly with live wires underneath. Duct spiders tend to be pack rats and hoard small tools, particularly those they have seen people use. These arachnids seem to be able to communicate with each other in several ways: waving antennae, ultrasonic speech, sensing vibrations. The duct spider eggs can survive in a vacuum.
