This page will attempt to collect all the myriad creatures in the Traveller universe. The organization style will collect them by biome first, then alphabetically.


Everywhere

"Everywhere" animals are creatures that have managed to find in a wide variety of environments. Creatures with this biome tag can be assumed to be just about everywhere, limited only by geographic restriction or a few extreme biomes.

  • Rats
  • Space Rats?
  • Cats

Plains/Steppe

  • Gazaal — A hefty and robust ungulate-like herbivore. Also utilized as a beast of burden or mount.[1]
  • Miniphants — Like elephants, miniphants feed on trees in savannahs, although on a smaller scale. Bred as beasts of burden and pets.

Forest

  • Nibbon — A fluffy, flying, fox-like creature, often raised as pets. They eat insect and fruits, like a bat.[2]

Swamps

Arid/Desert

  • Carthus — A large, pale cave-dwelling semi-humanoid carnivore. Moves extremely fast, can swim, and can fit through any passage the size of its head. Definitely causes nightmares.[3]

  • Klian Sea Sifter — A pangolin-esque shallow-water creature. May also be found in swamps, lakes, or other aquatic regions, if you're feeling creative![4]
