Chicklizards are small, reptillianoid flyers of unknown origin, but of abundantly verifiable and growing popularity as a foodstuff.

Physiology and ecology

An ectothermic, poikilothermic organism, with a scaled skin, clawed feet, and a vile temperament. It produces eggs of a very strong flavour and very mild meat, that tends to taste of whatever it is seasoned with.

Life Cycle and reproduction

Chicklizards are an egg laying creature, with two sexes.

Diet and trophics

It is unknown what the natural diet of Chicklizards is composed of.... They seem to eat most forms of food favored by humanoids.

History and background

The Chicklizard was recently brought to market as a commodity foodstuff, but market regulators have not yet been able to determine the original export place of Chicklizards nor the Chicklizard homeworld. Chicklizard (nutriment), the foodstuff, is known to sell well on a number of worlds.

Travellers' Aid Society Advisory

Chicklizards, while possessed of a foul temper and an aggressive nature, can be safely handled by the average sophont with proper training. The inexperienced should not attempt to handle an adult Chicklizard and their claws and beak can do grievous damage.
