Logistics is supply chain management that focuses on the challenge of planning and coordinating the flow of materials and information.

• Logistics is the commercial activity of transporting goods to customers. It includes organisation, planning, management, arrangement, administration, direction, orchestration, handling, and execution.
• the detailed organization and implementation of a complex operation; the careful organization of a complicated activity so that it happens in a successful and effective way.

Storage

Keeping things safe, protected, at perfect environmental conditions.

• Basic storage. Crates in warehouses, shipping containers, hoppers, stacks of goods and commodities and raw materials. Sufficient security to protect those goods while they are being stored, and sufficient shelter to adequately protect them from local environmental conditions. Active monitoring of those goods. Reduction or elimination of potential risks or hazards.
• Controlled storage. Special environmental conditions such as humidity, light levels or temperature. Storage of living organisms.
• Special storage. Strong boxes, safes. Medical storage and biohazards. Protecting works of art or treasures. Protecting delicate or fragile items.
