The Hoplite (Marmatophagus var.) is a large, heavily armored, grazing intermittent found on many worlds throughout the territory once ruled by the Ziru Sirka. The world of origin of these beasts is not known with certainty, since many early Vilani colonizations and subsequent settlement efforts have resulted in worlds with mixed ecosystems.
