The second most powerful position in the Amec Trade Protectorate. The Cihuacoatl is an elected vice-emperor, an ordained arch-bishop of the faith. The post's prime responsibilities are overseeing diplomatic relations with the Imperium and maintaining alliances with neighboring worlds. He is the Tlatoani's prime adviser and, in his role as arch-bishop, considered supreme judge.
On the Tlatoani's death he acts as Emperor until the new Tlatoani is elected by the Tlatocan.
