The subsequent investigation revealed that repeated fixes, workrounds and repairs, done to keep the station running over centuries of use, had compromised almost all safety protocols. The Kahiik Khi Incident and the findings of the report were instrumental in the subsequent closure and scrapping of both the Sch'ikaa and Tiik'sch Waypoints.
