Cold World Images are pictures of worlds that experience low temperatures.
Description / Specifications[edit]
Planetary Diversity[edit]
No world has just one terrain type: the referee is encouraged to mix and match images of terrain to depict other environments on a planetary surface.
For example garden worlds might have coastlines, open oceans, hills, forests, deserts, mountains, savannah, or frigid polar icecaps. Desert worlds might have badlands, canyons, rugged highlands, sandy deserts, dusty plains, or frost-covered poles. Vacuum worlds might have ridges and rilles, boulder plains, craters, or uplands.

Usage[edit]
In order to use these images, edit the section containing the image and copy the appropriate line of data for the image.
Paste the whole line of data into your article.

Alternatively, open the image, copy the name, and use it within the Image Size format shown below.

These images are intended to be displayed at a set size - 600 pixels wide (about 6 inches, or 15 cm).

Terrain that is upland or generally away from bodies of water
Mountains[edit]
Frigid upland terrain, cold rugged terrain, and frozen mountains.
Flatlands and Valleys[edit]
Cold terrain that is generally flatter, or within a valley or depression.
Watery Terrain[edit]
Cold terrain with liquid or (more commonly) ice.
Lakes and Shores[edit]
Hollows and depressions, some filled with ice or snow.
Glaciers[edit]
Huge sheets of ice.
Icy Waters[edit]
Liquid water covered by sheets of thick sea ice, broken up pack ice, or gigantic icebergs.
Pack Ice and Ice Sheets[edit]
Frozen ice sheets.
Icebergs[edit]
Huge floating chunks of ice.
