A Jump Shoal is an area of jump space that constitutes a spacetime anomaly.

Description (Specifications)[edit]

It has the following observable effects:

  • Greater fuel use is required
  • A minimum jump drive size is required to cross; smaller jump drives are simply trapped.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

This Astrographic Phenomenon, like many other anomalies, is poorly understood.

The Ruthless Veil and Darkly Veiled sectors contain a number of known time-space anomalies, including jump shoals.

The Hoydell's Chaos anomaly in Darkly Veiled Sector and coreward Kruse Sector has features of a jump shoal, as well as those of a Jump Reef.
