A Jump Shoal is an area of jump space that constitutes a spacetime anomaly.
- It is also known as a Jumpspace Shoal

It has the following observable effects:
- Greater fuel use
- Minimum jump drive size to cross, smaller jump drives are simply trapped.

The Ruthless Veil and Darkly Veiled sectors contain a number of known time-space anomalies, including jump shoals.
