This large, roaming carnivore has the antennae and lower body of a giant slug, the torso of a praying mantis, and the head of a beetle. Its strong natural chitin protects the upper half of its body while its eyes and antenna on head on stalks that permit the beast to sense in all directions. The praying slug is adept at tunneling, able to hack its way through dirt, often cutting through to nests of worms and snakes.
