A Magnetic Sensor detects magnetic fields.
- It is a type of Sensor.
Description / Specifications
Magnetic sensors detect changes and disturbances in a magnetic field like flux, strength and direction. Rotation, angles, direction, presence and electrical current can all be monitored. Magnetic sensors can measure both the complete magnetic field and the vector components of the field.
History & Background / Dossier
Magnetic Sensors are commonly available from TL-1 onwards: the magnetic compass is an early form of magnetic sensor.
