In 751, in connection with Emperor Paulo I's mandated effort to colonize Five Sisters Subsector, the Imperial Interstellar Scout Service commissioned Professor Zamten to do an anthropological study of the hitherto mostly ignored natives of Andor and Candory.
- Her discoveries turned what was to have been a two year study into a lifetime endeavor.
- From Andor and Candory she visited Spirelle, Zeen, and a number of other Droyne worlds over the next three decades.

In 790 she published her findings in the book "Studies of a major race".
- She was invited to address the Imperial Institute of the Arts and Sciences, elected to membership of that august institution by acclamation, and knighted by Emperor Tomutov I in 794.
- Her book remains the definitive work about the Droyne to this day.
