Guan is primarily a support base and R&R facility for the huge company refining rigs which float in the upper atmosphere of the tiny gas giant Loirhed, of which Guan is a satellite.

Guan is owned by Tarameck, a major hydrocarbon refining and processing corporation. Rig life is tough and Guan port is accordingly rough.
