Task Force (Marine unit)

A Marine Task Force is a Detachment from a Marine Regiment, an ad hoc grouping of several Marine Companies and/or other specialist sub-units drawn from the Regiment and tailored for a particular mission objective. It is generally commanded by a Marine Force Commander.
