Around 15 parsecs coreward-rimward.
Around 90 parsecs spinward-trailing.

== History ==
The Ribbon Rift was first charted by ultra-long-range scans performed by vessels from the [[Last Armada]] around 2255AD. Its exact position and dimensions were plotted by the [[University of Tal Varisa]] [[Deep Sky Program]] between 5520AD and 5550AD.
