The star Yed Posterior (otherwise known as Epsilon Ophiuchi) is a light yellow-orange giant star of spectral class G9.5.

The Yed Posterior star system lies approximately 32.6 pc from Terra, and is located in a Coreward/Corespinward direction from Terra at bearing 083.4o Galactic Longitude and +40.6o North Galactic Latitude.
