An Umoth is a Plant that was native to Gabrael (Deneb 2807).
The Umoth is a small Plant, rarely more than 50cm tall, that grows in the mountains about Tsabad on Gabrael (Deneb 2807).
It is famous because the Sensitive Umoth was found to be highly susceptible to the oils produced on the skin of Humans - The oils act as a form of herbicide!
The members of these species form a major food source for the native Herbivores.
The plant is wind-fertilised - as are most plants on Gabrael - there being no flying creatures in the local ecology. The feathery pollen catchers are iridescent and cultivars of the species are widely used as a house-plant.
