- During the Long Night this world was named Peroi.
Description (Planetology)[edit]
According to most travellers, Torrance is a dead world, and is noted on many charts as "Peroi," a Sindalian word meaning 'Lost.' A prolonged period of solar flare activity seared the planet's surface and killed all sea life, including a native algae, which then poisoned the sea water.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Torrance is a low-population, non-aligned desert world located in the Dpres Subsector of the Trojan Reach.
- Electromagnetic interference from the solar flares ruined the planet's technological base.
- The listed remaining population are the survivors who took refuge in underground shelters. They were not detected when the planet was surveyed for survivors.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Torrance has a Class E Starport, a frontier quality installation with few expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of a downport.
