Template talk:Year nav

This is a good idea for the years, however I don't think that the centuries really applies to our situation. How about having one template for each era (e.g. years of the first imperium), which would have the "century" part pre-recorded and the tag included. The master template could then select one that was appropriate given the date... Dcorrin 13:13, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

I stole this template from wikipedia, it's the one they use for all of their date pages. I agree that we don't need to use centuries, and in some ways I feel this is complete overkill. I'm thinking of borrowing a much simpler template from the Wookipedia or Memory Alpha.
The simpler one would be a row of date links at -10, -5, -3, -2, -1, +1, +2, +3, +5, +10 years. Or perhaps two rows: previous years and next years with the same values. Ideas? Tjoneslo 15:23, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
