The Slovenian Protectorate appears to be part of Enoki's slightly variant history for the area. It may also be the same thing as the Tripartite Alliance, which is also sourceless, also listed among the polities of the sector, and thematically fits (by name, at least) into the same slot as the Slovenian Protectorate. The Grendal reference on the matching world listing smells a bit too much like Niven & Barnes' Heorot series.
