Talk:Riftspan Reaches Sector
User:Tjoneslo, either the Traveller Map or the Traveller Wiki has mixed up subsector entries for Riftspan Reaches. I am checking hard copy sources and will have to continue later. Everything seems very jumbled. This is not turning into an easy job, but a challenging learning experience. Maksim-Smelchak (talk) 07:21, 14 July 2015 (EDT)
- I have now checked several sources, both hard copy and internet-based and I think the current subsector arrangement is correct. I still need to cross-reference it. Either the traveler map or the older T5SS file is most likely incorrect. I don't know which yet. This file: Riftspan Reaches Sector/layout data probably also has mixed up names. I will check it later and make corrections if warranted. Maksim-Smelchak (talk) 11:32, 14 July 2015 (EDT)
- I also updated the sources using Don's notes along with others. Maksim-Smelchak (talk) 11:32, 14 July 2015 (EDT)
- That was compounded by someone having juxtaposed subsector files here before I started trying to fill out and correctly input Riftspan reaches again. Maksim-Smelchak (talk) 11:32, 14 July 2015 (EDT)
2024: The Chirpening[edit]
Looking at the Travellers Digest 19 sector data, the Chirper populations have been overlooked up until now. So has a Droyne enclave, apparently. Interestingly, of the three Chirper populations, two are in relatively close proximity on inhospitable worlds across the Great Rift; since these worlds couldn't support "native" life, clearly the Aslan moved them there. Some clans are being lazy and making Chirpers do some of the work, perhaps? Although, since both worlds are multiple clan split control, there might be a Chirper clan? Now that would be an interesting twist...
