Reference information

In an attempt to track down more information the Nullian Minor Human Race we have found the following things.

In 2014, Don McKinney, as part of the T5SS effort creates a spreadsheet with all of the known canon and could-be canon races from the history of the Traveller publications. This sheet noted the Nullians as a Minor Human Race from Nullia, per the page included. The source references supplied by the Spreadsheet were:

• Hinterworlds Insert, Challenge Magazine, Number 39, © GDW 1989, p. 16
• Challenge Magazine, Number 44, © GDW 1990, p. 36-37.

The latter two were dutifully copied into the wiki article. The Hinterworlds insert contains a UWP for Nulia (the world). The Challenge 44 article is the source for the Nullian League. But neither make any mention of a Minor Human Race inhabiting the world.

This leaves the AABP issue 8, which has been difficult to track down. Other references seem to indicate the article on p. 6 is a list of known Minor Human Races. At the time AAB8 was written (early 1990), the prevailing canon was there were "more than 40" (from GDW sources) or "46 known" (from DGP sources) MHRs. But most of those were not named or described in (at the time) existing publications. Given the self imposed mandate of HIWG to fill in the missing parts of canon, it would not have been surprising to have MHR list include some unofficial, still being developed, names.

Whatever the case, Mr. McKinney decided the existing materials referenced were sufficient to include them as Canon. They were subsequently added to the data files supplied Traveller Map. The Nullians are officially listed as canon, but nothing (as of this writing) are known about them beyond a name and a home world. Tjoneslo (talk) 19:23, 23 October 2020 (EDT)
