Attribution? Nice plagarism. :) (50.102.80.41 05:46, October 28, 2012 (UTC))

I don't know what the anonymous person is talking about. The text is one I wrote myself, inspired by a discussion on Citizens of the Imperium. Rancke (talk) 07:34, October 28, 2012 (UTC)

Having gone back and looked over the original thread on CotI, I find myself at fault. While my article is not plagiarism, since I neither copied the original text nor paraphrased it, it is undeniably derivative. I apologise for assuming that the original author would be OK with that.

I've always felt that it ought to go without saying that if one worked in another person's setting, he and anyone else who he allows to do so were free to use one's ideas freely. Not cut and paste, of course, but to take inspiration from the material. But legally this is not the case, I know, and I certainly don't want to cause any problems for our Wiki. So what I'll do right now is to add 'based on ideas from CotI' to the attribution. If the original author wants, he can add his name (I only know his CotI login). Or if he wants the offending article taken down, I'll do that (or ask the Admin to do so). Rancke (talk) 18:43, October 28, 2012 (UTC)

Take it down, please. (50.102.14.95 15:39, November 2, 2012 (UTC))

A name would have been nice, but I'll nominate it for deletion and leave it to the Admin to decide whether an anonymous request is enough to base a decision on. Rancke (talk) 13:59, November 3, 2012 (UTC)

original source[edit]

based on ideas from a thread on Citizens of the Imperium.

Delete per request of the author. I'm leaving the link to the original thread for historical purposes. Tjoneslo (talk) 20:37, November 14, 2012 (UTC)
