Regina Startown

An urban area north of Regina Down Starport, just outside the extrality fence. It is located midway between two huge cities: Atora, the capital of the Duchy of Regina, some 15 km to the west, and Credo, the capital of Regina itself, about the same distance to the east.

It is a district filled with cheap hotels, grimy taverns, and even less savory places, catering to the people who are not quite part of either the local community or the port, but associate with both; unemployed starship crewmen, their employed brethren on leave, port laborers hoping for work, petty thieves and con men who work the port when they can get away with it, businesses that can’t operate openly, etc. Few tourists go there. Regina Down – sometimes called by its old name, Credo Down – is the most important of Regina’s downports with thousands of passengers coming and going each day, but most of them hurriedly take the monorail or a cab to the nearby cities of Atora and Credo.
