History and background[edit]
Attempts are being made to extend the planetary range of this animal because of its excellent food possibilities. So far, results of the transplant experiments have been poor, but the Imperial scientists are continuing to evaluate the results to try to improve them, as a good deal of evidence exists that the First Imperium had a similar, successful program.
The Ostu has a tough, but workable, hide that can be used for leather on lower-tech worlds that lack indigenous animals that are usable in such a manner.
