The subdivisions of the Order of the Iridium Throne are :

• Knight/Dame of the Iridium Throne (K.I.T. / D.I.T.)
• Knight/Dame Commander of the Iridium Throne (K.C.I.T. / D.C.I.T.)
• Knight/Dame Grand Commander of the Iridium Throne (K.G.C.I.T. / D.G.C.I.T.)

» All land-grants associated with the rank of Knight of the Order of the Iridium Throne (of which there are only about 2000 members total) are located on worlds in Core Sector, and the order likewise has only about 30 Knight Commanders , all of whose land grants are on Capital.

» The Emperor of the Third Imperium is both the Sovereign and Grand Master of this Order of Knighthood as the Duke of the Core, holding the rank of Knight Grand Commander of the Iridium Throne.

The Badge of the Order is: Sable, a Throne Argent and Or.

The Headquarters of the Order are located on Capital, in a part of what was once grounds belonging to the Zhunastu family. It has been expanded and restored many times since then, but contains a museum, archives, and even a zoo containing creatures brought from all over Core Sector. There are a few facilities for visiting members to lodge, but most members will be presumed to lodge in facilities or estates associated with the Seigneurial land grants associated with their title within the Sector.

History & Background (Dossier)

The Order of the Iridium Throne was established by Emperor Cleon I to recognize individuals critical to the defense and advancement of interests of Core Sector at the dawn of the Third Imperium. In later years, the Order has remained an exclusive order, most commonly seen in the Imperial Core.
