The Secret of Olknuaghuth

The seventy or so miners, Belters and Vargr loners of Olknuaghuth are trying to hide is the vast mineral, metals, hydrocarbons and radioactives found inside the Orbit 7 N-Zone Belt and the Orbit 9 M-Zone Belt. They have secretly deduced that the Mixed Belt in Orbit 9 was once a planet, possibly a BigWorld, but broke up due to gravitational anomalies no longer present in the system. The resource collection families and Packs have made a rather extreme vow of silence to harvest these valuable resources at a comfortable yet lucrative rate instead of bringing in corporate mining interests. No large nodes discovered are marked with Beacons and then sold to large companies. Instead, the families gather their Seekers and collectively mine such finds themselves.

Valuable ores and other mined resources are then sold to nearby worlds of Mikikuma Subsector a cargo hold at a time, their crews eerily silent about their payouts as they go about purchasing needs for their families and Packs. The seventy sophonts of Olknuaghuth are content to live comfortable lives of mediocrity rather than delve into get-rich quick, corporate entanglements. This isolationist view coupled with the sparse interstellar traffic of Mikikuma Subsector has thus far kept the Secret of Olknuaghuth since the system was re-surveyed after year 30 Imperial Calendar.
