Nexus LM-5 Naga class Grav APC, TL 12[edit]

The vehicle has a crew of three (driver, gunner, and commander) and mounts a stabilized 13.5MW input stock B class Plasma Gun with TL–12 direct fire control in the turret. The sensors and communications are considered excellent. The 5,000 power radio is a standout unit and supports excellent range which permits satellite uplinks while on the move. The superdense armor is sloped and meets or exceeds hull metal standards for deployment in a protected forces setting. The crew and passengers need not worry about CBR/NBC or other hostile environments, there is an airlock, the hull is sealed, pressurized with life support for ten.

Dorsal Turret[edit]

Plasma Gun B[edit]

The fully stabilized dorsal 5mx2.2mx1m turret features moderately sloped front and sides and a radically slope turret rear. It is layered with superdense armor and mounts an off the shelf plasma gun B which requires 13.5 MW input. The plasma gun is a stock design and is fitted with TL–12 direct fire control. The weapon has a burst radius in addition to impact penetration for greater area effect against adjacent targets. It can engage a single target per firing phase and is automatically spotted when it fires.

Background & History[edit]

Built by the government of Nexus (world) for army and marine mobility operations. These light Grav APCs form the backbone of Lift Infantry Battalions and Marine Assault Battalions. They rely on Nexus Fleet Forces for interstellar deployments. These TL–12 Grav APCs are designed to deliver a small squad of infantry to the FEBA. The three vehicle crew team stay with the vehicle, a squad leader, two person heavy weapons team and a four person infantry fireteam dismount. They use a standard 40MW fusion power plant and enough power for 265tons of lift. Critics complain about the lack of secondary weapon systems. Dedicated fire support versions of this basic vehicle replace the infantry with a variety of heavy weapon options. The design is smaller than a standard 4 dton Air/Raft and can be carried aboard many classes of Nexus warships. It is relatively fast and carries reasonable armor for a personnel carrier. The turret mounted main weapon lacks the power to defeat the heaviest Grav Tanks and lacks point defense fire control.
