A multi-system polity in Phlask Sector, and a sub-polity of the Hive Federation.

The Nainur (as they are named in Gurvin) are the native species, from the eponymous world (Phlask 2015).

With the collapse of the original Nainur interstellar government, the Hivers moved in, providing aid and uplift, commencing the incorporation of Nainur space into the Federation. The survivors generally welcomed them; residual xenophobia, while remaining strong, was nonetheless overcome by the genuine warmth of Ithklur warriors and the generosity of Hivers acting on their parental instinct.

Other nearby species include the Aoao, whose civilization was relocated to the world renamed Ao (Phlask 2716) from their dying planet of Nafarnipi (Phlask 2619), and the Oxdrildax, whose peculiar environmental needs keep them largely at home, and little involved with the wider Federation economy.

Worlds and Populations[edit]

All worlds are located within Glosk Subsector of Phlask Sector.

  • 1916 Renidas (Amber Zone): A partially restricted world with only around a hundred Nainur -- members of a private security company hired by the Hive Federation -- standing guard over the strongholds of the former government.
  • 2015 Nainur (Amber Zone): Reinforced with a flow of goods and immigrants from elsewhere in the Federation, the Nainur homeworld is transitioning to a full-fledged member world. With a population of 800,000,000 and rising, its bureaucratic government is far less xenophobic than the Nainur tradition, indeed downright friendly.
  • 2114 Dooaca (Amber Zone): Around 60 people
  • 2115 Qarrana: A garden world growing increasingly rich as it exports food products. The population of 800,000 is 70% Nainur. They govern themselves democratically.
  • 2116 Nalonuil: 100,000 people, 80% of them Nainur, live on this corporate resource world, rather jealously guarding their resources.
  • 2215 Kaitgor: The population is 800,000, 90% of them Nainur. These are direct descendants of the last rebels who opposed the central government, having been exiled here to die; the Hivers instead cultivated them as a cultural and eventually military beachhead. There is no government structure, the locals enjoying a taste of real freedom after the horrors of old Nainur rule, though inevitably Hiver manipulation behind the scenes is shaping their system of social controls. The locals aren't as welcoming as the current generation on the homeworld, but are more aloof than truly xenophobic.
