Markel

A city on Vincennes. Like most major settlements on Vincennes, it is situated in the region known as the Shoal.

Because of the inexpensive housing, the megacorporation SuSAG has moved its largest facility in the sector to Markel, and employs almost half of the population.

Smaller settlements are often semi-permanent mining communities, supplying raw materials to the manufacturing complexes in this and other metroplexes. Most settlements are connected by transgrav lines; smaller communities can be reached by submersible.
