Description (Specifications)

The IISS definition of a Low Technology World is broadly "Any world that has not developed the use of Nuclear Energy as a power source". The observer is warned that the lack of nuclear technology does not require that the world be uncivilised or uncultured.

n.b. The term "Low Technology" is a formal Trade Classification and (within the Imperium) there may be some technology transfer limitations applicable.

History & Background (Dossier)

The classification "Low Technology World" was first applied as part of the First Survey by the Imperial Galactic Survey branch of the IISS.
