Jamison Todd Craig, son of Prince Stuart and Princess Edina Craig.
While the Craigs have gone down in history as the worst rulers in Caledonian history, Jamison is regarded as a hero. This is largely justified. And at least partly accidental.
Jamison acceded to the throne after his father, Stuart III, died in a suspicious riding accident. A lifelong courtier and politician who'd never served in the military, he shared his father's suspicion of the ambitions of the Navy.
He was especially suspicious of Admiral Reed, who had been serving as head of the fleet for a year when Jamison acceded to the throne. Reed, who had risen from the ranks, was anathema to the deeply aristocratic Jamison. The feeling was mutual; although Reed had been inducted into the peerage (he was the Earl of Strathmore, as a reward for a series of crushing victories over Reavers near Dunmarrow), Reed had little use for what he regarded as the effete fripperies of the rulilng class.
The two men were deeply suspicious of each other - while openly supporting each other.
The Iltharan War changed that; Reed of Strathmore's epic victory buoyed Jamison's stock and made Caledon a significant power.
While Jamison and Strathmore were never on especially cordial terms, they managed to work together until -64, when Strathmore retired and Jamison, coincidentally, died.
