Stuart Murrough Craig, second son of Earl Edward and Lady Patricia Craig of Laphraoig.
Stuart was installed, the first monarch of clan Craig of Laphraoig the first of 140 years of Craig princes that were regarded, as a group, as among the worst in Caledonian history.
Stuart occupied himself largely with the suppression of Douglass resistance after The Uphaival, a process that involved great transgressions against such civil liberties as Caledonians had in the first place. Stuart's small army of private retainers occupied themselves as a de facto secret police force, denouncing, defaming, and occasionally killing or kidnapping political opponents.
In -91, as Stuart was starting to turn his attention to the military, he was killed in riding accident that is broadly regarded as suspicious. The throne went to his son, Jamison.
